Jaka Gets Paid With Aces | 2020 Mid-States Poker Tour Venetian $1,600 Main Event

A player raised to 1,100 under the gun and action folded around to Faraz Jaka, who three-bet to 4,100 in the small blind. The original raiser called and the two saw a flop of {6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. Jaka made a continuation-bet of 4,500 and his opponent called.

The turn came {7-Diamonds} and Jaka continued with a second barrel of 12,500. His opponent called again and the river fell {6-Hearts}.

“All in,” said Jaka, putting forth his remaining chips to ultimately put his opponent to the test. The player wasted no time calling.

Jaka tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} for aces up and his opponent began to muck. He then looked back at his cards and then voluntarily complied to table his losing hand of {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the all-in showdown. The player’s remaining chips were sent to Jaka, who now finds himself with nearly 150,000 before the midway point of play on Day 1a.
