Four lucky Leicester neighbours win big in latest postcode lottery draw

Four neighbours in a Leicester street are celebrating today after winning £1,000 each on the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The winners – who all live in Davenport Road, in the Rowlatts Hill area of the city, netted the windfall when the latest lucky location was announced by the People’s Postcode Lottery on Friday last week.

The postcode which was drawn was LE5 6SB, meaning four residents became the competition’s newest Daily Prize winners.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador and former radio and TV presenter Judie McCourt said: “Congratulations to all the winners in LE5 6SB. Brilliant news.”

She added: “I hope you enjoy spending your winnings.”

A minimum of 32 per cent of the competition’s ticket sales goes directly to charities.

Players of the People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted on behalf of the Postcode Innovation Trust whose mission is to support charities and social enterprises working in communities across the nation.

The organisation is a grant-giving body funded entirely by players.
